Description

From the British Journal of Photography: "Country Beside Itself 'is a comment on the decline of the Swedish welfare state,' [according to the artist]. Published in 1993 it focuses on the leisure culture in small town Sweden, capturing the country's mood following an economic boom and rapid commercialisation."
