First edition, first printing. Limited slipcased edition of 425 copies (this being #109/425), hand-numbered in blue ink and signed in black ink by Burns on a label tipped in to the inside front cover of Volume 1. Volume 1 is also signed and numbered in blue ink by Burns on the title page.

Four volumes sharing the following format: Hardcover. Photographically illustrated paper-covered boards; no dust jacket as issued. Contained in a custom black cloth-covered slipcase with title stamped in silver on front and spine. Text by Stanley B. Burns, MD. Designed by Elizabeth A. Burns & The Burns Archive. Includes a list of plates, a bibliography and photographic terms. Unpaginated (64 pp.), with 25 four-color plates. 11-1/2 x 9 inches.
