Description

From Lucinda Barnes: "In his most recent body of work -- the subject of this exhibition -- Levinthal has turned to the typecasting of yet another movie genre: the space age. His perspective is decidedly anachronistic. Using vintage models and toy sets, he invades the temporal frame of War of the Worlds. The dated appearance particularly engages these images. The naive, almost utopian view of the outer reaches of our universe sharpens Levinthal's fantastic inflection."
