Limited edition of 250 copies (this being #214), signed and numbered in black ink on the colophon page by Parr. First edition, first printing. Hardcover. Hand-bound in striped cloth-covered boards (genuine deckchair canvas used); no dust jacket as issued; contained in a navy blue cloth-covered slipcase with title debossed on front panel. Photographs by Martin Parr. Poems by Fergus Allen, Kate Clanchy, Philip Gross, Sophie Hannah, Geoffrey Hoare, Roger McGough, Alice Oswald and Vicki Raymond. Designed by Jonathan Stephenson of The Rocket Press (the first project between Jonathan Stephenson and Martin Parr). Unpaginated (60 pp.), with 24 tipped-in four-color plates. 13-1/4 x 17-1/8 inches.

The book was launched with the first ever commercial gallery exhibiton of Parr's photographs in London, at Rocket Gallery in summer 1997.

From the publisher: "Photographs of the then 'down-at-heel' seaside resort of West Bay near Bridport in Dorset photographed on the Bank Holiday weekend of August 1996. The photographs were then distributed to eight contemporary poets to write poems specially for this book."
