Spectacular portfolio of unbound sheets housed in a custom designed enclosure, with photographically illustrated laminated paper-covered boards. Photographs by Daido Moriyama. Art direction by Naoki Takizawa. Text (in English and French) by Hideto Akasaka. Planning and production by Issey Miyake. Includes a three-page gatefold insert with text and bold graphics, and biographical notes on Moriyama and Takizawa. Unpaginated, with 24 black and white plates printed full bleed on clear acetate and laminated to heavy coated art paper. 17 x 12-3/8 inches. This publication was limited to 1500 copies.

From the essay by Hideto Akasaka: "The Novembre album was created at the intersection of the skintight sensation of the continually changing fashion consciousness described by designer Naoki Takizawa and the reality that photographer Daido Moriyama's camera has brought to life, illuminating slices of the world around us and fixing them in Moriyama monochrome....This portfolio features Daido Moriyama's singular fashion shoot of Naoki Takizawa's Paris collection. According to Takizawa, 'Female body consciousness was changing rapidly' and that feeling he was looking for was the idea that clothes are sort of an expression of a person's inner life. When he studies Moriyama's work, he feels as if the clothes have tumbled into place in a reality that is somehow the actual Paris."
