Vincent Borrelli is an artist, working in photography and video for more than 25 years. The first major exhibition of his photographs was in 1989 at The Museum of Modern Art, New York. Since then, his photographs have been exhibited at numerous galleries and museums, including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, The Everson Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and MoMA, New York. His work is held in the collections of these and other institutions. He is a recipient of the Constance Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts Fellowship and a Light Work Artist-in-Residence Program grant. His work has been featured and reviewed in Harper's Magazine, The New York Times and The New Yorker. In 1993, he turned to video and began a project that would consume him for the next 10+ years.
A passionate bibliophile, Vincent Borrelli began collecting photography books more than 25 years ago. His knowledge, fueled by his own studio practice, gives him a unique relationship to photography, and to the astonishing field of the photographic book.
Laura André joined the company in 2007. From 2003 to 2007, she was an Assistant Professor of the history of photography in the Department of Art and Art History at The University of New Mexico. She holds a Ph.D. in art history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she studied the history of photography and critical theory with Dr. Carol Mavor. Before pursuing her doctorate, André was a Fine Art specialist at Selkirk Auctioneers in St. Louis, Missouri.
